winter makeup tips

In winter season, dry patches can build up on the surface of the skin, leaving you less-than-radiant no matter how much makeup you apply. The wind and cold conditions that it brings along only adds to the dryness.

Ensure Smoothness

Gently exfoliate the skin. Use a moisturizer as a primer before applying your foundation. Also, keep your lips moisturized with a lip balm in order to prevent them from becoming cracked and dry.

Foundation Finish

Your foundation should have broad-spectrum sun protection. The best type of foundation to use is silicone based foundation; it is the easiest to work with and provides the best resistance to cold weather.

Color Match

Make sure that the foundation and concealer that you are using matches the tone of your skin. Also make sure to add color on the eyes, lips or cheeks. It is a good idea to opt for neutral shades of makeup, such as light browns, grays, pinks and purples.
